ली चोंग वेई ने भारतीय बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ियों को सबसे बड़ी चुनौती बताया

राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में बैडमिंटन की अलग अलग प्रतिस्पधाओं में चार स्वर्ण पदक जीत चुके महान मलेशियाई खिलाड़ी ली चोंग वेई का कहना है कि भारत पुरूष एकल में उनके लिए सबसे बड़ी चुनौती है। उन्होंने कहा सबसे बड़ी चुनौती भारत से मिल सकती है। श्रीकांत और प्रणय अच्छे फार्म में है और स्वर्ण पदक के दावेदार भी। दुनिया के दूसरे नंबर के खिलाड़ी श्रीकांत और 12वीं रैंकिंग वाले खिलाड़ी प्रणय ने बीते साल काफी अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया और दिग्गज खिलाड़ियों को धूल चटायी जिससे दोनों को यहां स्वर्ण पदक के प्रबल दावेदारों में देखा जा रहा है।

2014 के ग्लास्गो खेलों में भारत के ही पी कश्यप ने पुरूष एकल का स्वर्ण पदक जीता था। चोंग वेई ने 2006 के मेलबर्न खेलों में पुरूष एकल और मिश्रित टीम वर्ग में स्वर्ण पदक जीते थे। उन्होंने 2010 के नयी दिल्ली राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में भी दोनों वर्गों में स्वर्ण पदक जीते। 2014 के ग्लास्गो खेलों से दूर रहे मलेशियाई खिलाड़ी का इस बार भी दोनों वर्गों में स्वर्ण जीतने का लक्ष्य है। @ https://goo.gl/YZFnRh

भारती टेलीकॉम में सिंगटेल 2,649 करोड़ रुपए का निवेश करेगी

भारती एयरटेल ने सोमवार को ऐलान किया कि सिंगापुर टेलीकम्युनिकेशन लि. ने भारती टेलीकॉम में 2,649 करोड़ रुपए निवेश करने का फैसला किया है। इस निवेश के साथ सिंगटेल की भारती टेलीकॉम में कुल हिस्सेदारी बढ़कर 48.90 फीसदी हो जाएगी।

मौजूदा समय में सिंगटेल की भारती टेलीकॉम में 47.17 फीसदी की हिस्सेदारी है। भारती एंटरप्राइज, भारती टेलीकॉम में 50 फीसदी से अधिक की हिस्सेदारी बनाए रखेगा। कंपनी की ओर से जारी बयान के मुताबिक, यह लेनदेन भारती टेलीकॉम के शेयरधारकों की मंजूरी के अधीन होगा। इस पूंजी का इस्तेमाल कर्ज चुकाने में किया जाएगा। @ http://bit.ly/2nKrOKB

सहपीडिया ने शुरू किया महीनेभर का ऑनलाइन फेस्टिवल

अब गेल के अधिग्रहण पर ओएनजीसी की नजर

तेल और गैस क्षेत्र की देश की सबसे बड़ी सरकारी कंपनी तेल एवं प्राकृतिक गैस निगम (ओएनजीसी) गत सप्ताह देश की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी तेल शोधक एवं विपणन कंपनी एचपीसीएल के साथ अधिग्रहण का करार करने के बाद गेल इंडिया लिमिटेड को अधिगृहित करने के करीब है।

सूत्रों के मुताबिक दो अन्य कंपनियों इंडियन ऑयल कार्पोरेशन और भारत पेट्रोलियम भी गेल के अधिग्रहण की इच्छुक थीं लेकिल गेल प्रबंधन ने इनके बजाय ओएनजीसी को तरजीह दी है। गेल ने दूसरे विकल्प के रूप में ऑयल इंडिया लिमिटेड(ओआईएल) का चयन किया है। ऑयल में सरकार की 66.13 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी है, जिसका बाजार मूल्य करीब 18 हजार करोड़ रुपये है। गेल का मानना है कि ओएनजीसी के साथ उसका विलय तेल एवं गैस क्षेत्र के लिए अधिक फायदेमंद है क्याेंकि इससे तेल उत्पादक और परिवहन तथा विपणन नेटवर्क एक मंच पर आयेंगे।

इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्प और भारत पेट्रोलियम ने गेल के साथ अपने अधिग्रहण को लेकर अलग अलग तर्क दिये हैं। इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्प अपनी क्षमता बढाने के लिए या तो अन्य तेल शोधक कंपनी या गेल जैसी कंपनी का अधिग्रहण करना चाहती है। भारत पेट्रोलियम ने हाल में पेट्रोलियम मंत्रालय काे लिखे पत्र में कहा है कि अधिग्रहण के लिए गेल उसका पहला विकल्प है। सूत्रों का कहना है कि सरकार ने अभी अन्य सरकारी कंपनियों के प्रस्तावों पर कोई निर्णय नहीं लिया है। @ http://bit.ly/2n0t8tr

Qatar Airways to soon start a fully-owned airline in India

On Wednesday, Qatar Airways confirmed that soon it will start a fully owned airline in India. This happened after the civil aviation ministry of India has asked the CEO of state-owned Qatar airways, Al Baker and the Qatar government to participate in the country’s growth rate by starting an airline in India.

During the ITB Berlin travel show, the CEO, Al Baker said, “Yes, we will have a 100% owned domestic carrier in India that will belong to both QR (Qatar Airways) and our state investment arm as India has now allowed foreign investment in domestic carriers within India.” The travel show was telecasted live on the airline’s Facebook page. He said, “We will soon be making an application to that effect.”

The Indian aviation ministry welcomed the move, as Rajiv Nayan Choubey, the aviation secretary on Wednesday said, “I did not expect this (so soon),” “We will await for the application and will process it as per government policy,” Choubey said.
“We will examine that when we receive that application. Yes, up to 49% it is allowed. That (fund investment) is something that we will have to take a look as to what is the interplay between the two and that is the subject matter of approval,” he said.

FYI, in India, overall foreign investment can go up to 100%, although, foreign airlines can own as much as 49% only in Indian carriers.

Instead of giving out hundreds of seats to foreign airlines to fly to India, like the previous governments, the Narendra Modi led government had asked them to rather invest here, especially the West Asian Airlines.

Prior to this, in an interview in January, the civil aviation secretary Rajiv Nayan Choubey has already confirmed that the Indian government has proposed the Qatar government to invest in India and start an airline. He then said, “That’s what we have suggested to them. Look we have a fantastic market—its 100% FDI. Come fly your planes, there is money here (to be made).”

Did you know these major differences between the hard news and soft news stories?

Latest News writing is a broad concept and should be understood well, especially for someone who wants to make a career out of it. News stories are of various types and thus are written differently. Two major types are soft news and hard news stories. You are wondering what’s that, aren’t you?

Soft news as the name itself suggests is a news story that does not contain any harsh news or aren’t as breaking as the hard news stories. Soft news stories would always have a narrative approach, while the hard news stories would rather have descriptive approach.

Hard news stories are always written in inverted pyramid styles, which means the head should contain the most part of the story, then the body, the rest, and the tail should contain the least important parts of the story.  This is done not just because people have less time to read and thus would love to get all the necessary information in the first paragraph, but also because sometimes, while arranging the stories in the newspaper, they fall short of space and thus the last paragraph (the tail) can be removed.

Kashmir Valley miscreants to be peppered with Chilli Shots now. And it’s supposedly safe

Kashmir finally breathes a sigh of relief, as the curfew was lifted after 52 days in some parts of the valley. But the biggest news that caught the natives was the proposal to replace pellet shells immediately. After the youths and natives of Kashmir valley complained about the use of unscrupulous use of pellet guns, the Indian Home Minister has announced that the government will come up with a non-lethal canister guns to control crowd nuisance.

According to Hindi News Live, so far, there have been instances where the pellet guns have caused irreplaceable physical damage to the eyes and ears, with fatal injuries even leading to death.

What are the probable solutions for crowd control?

Mobs in Kashmir valley won’t have their luxury of creating nuisance at will anymore. Reports from New Delhi clearly show how the government has targeted the newly improvised PAVA shells. What are PAVA shells?

PAVA (Pelargonic Acid Vanillylamide) shells are already in use in some parts of the state, exclusively used by CRPF. In addition to the PAVA shells, the government will be using the following non-lethal ammunitions to scatter miscreants.

• Tear smoke shells
• Stun shells
• Stun grenades
• Rubber bullets
• Pump action
• Sonic cannon

The sonic cannon here is the most innovative in the lot. It is designed to control the crowd by blasting the ears of protestors with high decibel shells.

What are the after-effects of PVA shells?

Thanks to their high Scoville heat units, the pellets are made of the same ingredients as that used in spray guns and pepper sprays, albeit in much higher quantity. The PAVA shells can be fired from a close range as well, making them clear ammunition of self-defence. The violent mobs can be scattered harmlessly, without damaging them physically, or even their clothes.

The PAVA shells are also bio-degradable and can be used in combination with stun and tear gas shells.
